Prayer to Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the
numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre
of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no
more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your
affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a
song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
I had no real inspiration for this bracelet.  It began last week when I came home after seeing a little
girl in our parish at a school function.  She's been battling a brain tumor, and many of us have
been praying for her.  That night I came home and began to string some fresh water pearls and
glass beads I've had for a long time, onto memory wire.  I was thinking of the little girl, and what
the road ahead will be for her when, before I realized it, I had strung most of a five decade rosary onto
As I continued to play with it, my thoughts went back to the
night I began, and started to sort those thoughts out.  I had also
been thinking about the fact that our Parish is building a St.
Peregrine Chapel, and how fitting it could be to start a Novena to
St. Peregrine for the little girl at the school.  That's when I
realized this was a St. Peregrine rosary.  I have ordered the medal
shown at left, for the bracelet.  On one side, Mary, Our Lady of
Sorrows, and on the reverse Saint Peregrine, patron of cancer
victims. I will also be ordering a center with the same design.
When the bracelet and rosary are finished I'll put them on this page with a complete description
and a purchase button.
THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF SAINT PEREGRINE

O my dearest Mother Mary, Mother of
Sorrows, behold me, thy child, in prayer.
I have come to plead for this special favor
through the intercession of thy faithful servant,
Saint Peregrine. (Mention your request.)

O Sorrowful Mother, I beg thee to present my petition to thy Divine Son.
If thou wilt pray for me, I cannot be refused.

I know, dearest Mother, that thou doth want me to seek
God's will in all things.

Therefore, with childlike trust I abandon myself to God's Holy Will
concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted,
pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.

Mother of Sorrows, I love thee!

I put all my confidence in thee, because thy prayers before God are most powerful.
For the greater glory of God and through the intercession of St. Peregrine,
whom thou hast led to Sainthood, hear and grant my prayer. Amen.

the wire.  I wasn't sure I actually
liked the design, but at the
encouragement of my daughter,
and a good friend of mine, I
decided to go with the design as
it was.  I replaced the base metal
Paters with Silver Bali beads
and made the design a little
more uniform, but basically this
is the same as it was originally.
